Greetings from Utrecht was created in 2016 with an Instagram account about the beautiful city of Utrecht. Communications advisor and journalist Didi Steen started this account to show family and friends from abroad her city. Soon others discovered the account and started following.

The Instagram account opened many doors and more and more invitations came in for events, openings and dinners. This is how Greetings from Utrecht grew into a platform with thousands of followers from all over the world.

Didi once came to Utrecht as a Journalism student and, like many, ‘stuck around’. Her curiosity soon brought her into contact with local entrepreneurs, institutions, museums, artists and restaurant establishments. The interesting stories of all these Utrecht residents and locations are shared online and since the end of 2017 also offline through walks and bike rides through the city. Various local guides take participants on a discovery tour through Utrecht almost every day.
